FXPro’s fees offer traders a choice of commission-free and commission-based trading accounts, while XM’s fees feature commission-free costs. Which one is cheaper?
FXPro offers competitive commission-based trading fees, but XM has a 16%+ cheaper minimum Forex trading fee than FXPro despite maintaining commission-free costs. Only unleveraged share investments incur a 0.10% XM commission.
Account Types
The core account structure of FXPro and the account structure of XM are identical, and there is both an XM demo account and an FXPro demo account, but XM provides more sub-account options.
Are there any other noteworthy differences in the account structure between FXPro vs. XM?
Here are the ones that stand out the most:
- XM has lower commission-free fees.
- XM has a micro account.
- XM has a dedicated investment account for unleveraged investments.
- FXPro traders must use cTrader if they want the best commission-based trading fees offered by this broker.
Minimum Deposit
How difficult is it to deposit at FXPro vs XM?
Our XM review discovered that the minimum deposit was $5 for all accounts except the Shares account, which required a $10,000 minimum deposit. FXPro asks for a reasonable $100 minimum deposit. While both brokers offer a solid deposit infrastructure, XM has more payment processors and supports more deposit currencies.
Minimum Withdrawal
Which withdrawal process is better: FXPro or XM?
FXPro withdrawals do not incur internal withdrawal fees, and all withdrawals at XM are free except for bank wires below $200, which incur an undisclosed fee. Neither broker supports cryptocurrency withdrawals but maintains otherwise good withdrawal processes that honour all valid requests. XM takes the lead here due to same-day withdrawals and more payment processor choices.

Which broker is more secure and trustworthy?
FXPro and XM have 15+ years of operational excellence and compliance with numerous regulators. Both brokers segregate client deposits from corporate funds and offer negative balance protection, while FXPro also has € 100,000,000 in Tier-1 corporate capital. I rank FXPro and XM as equally secure and trustworthy.

Which Forex broker is better?
FXPro and XM ensure traders have competitive trading conditions, including fast order execution, balanced asset selection, and cutting-edge trading platforms.
My verdict:
FXPro is an excellent broker for traders preferring the cTrader trading platform, where FXPro offers competitive trading fees. XM is a better broker for most traders due to lower MT4/MT5 trading fees. It depends on the individual's trading and regulatory requirements, but XM ranks highly in several categories necessary for competitive trading conditions. FXPro is a superb broker for algorithmic traders using cTrader, as they benefit from competitive trading fees, VPS hosting, and excellent order execution. XM and FXPro are excellent brokers, and it depends on individual preferences to determine the better broker.FAQs
