Most Forex brokers are continually on the lookout for ways to expand their offerings, and OANDA is no exception. To keep up with other top Forex brokers such as FXCM, which recently began offering spread betting in the UK, and FXCM which just announced its own CFD offering in the UK, OANDA has announced the launch of CFD trading to eligible traders who reside in certain countries (note: CFD trading is illegal in the United States).
If you haven't yet been introduced to the concept of CFD trading, it may be worth investigating. In short, CFDs, the abbreviated way to refer to contracts for difference, are financial vehicles that allow traders to invest in markets that aren't normally as flexible as the Forex market, but to use different leverage which can increase the profit potential. When trading CFDs, a significant advantage is that it places a trade on one direction or a specific price – and that you can get out at any time. There are also certain tax advantages permitted to CFD traders in different countries. For a fuller look at CFD trading, read this article on DailyForex.com.
OANDA is currently offering CFD trading to European traders, with the hopes to expand this service to other regions of the world later in the year.
