NZD/USD Analysis
We came very close to the minor support I identified yesterday as lying below at 0.6825, and have had a bit of a move up as New Zealand closed for 2015 and London opened. If the U.S. data due later today is poor, then we should see a touch of the resistance at 0.6872 again, but I think it is unlikely the U.S. will close for 2015 with the price above that area. There is a 3 day trading gap coming so it might be a little too brave to hold any significant positions over, in case the price gaps the wrong way significantly when markets reopen in the New Year.
There is nothing due today concerning the NZD, it is also a public holiday in New Zealand. Regarding the USD, there will be a release of Unemployment Claims data at 1:30pm London time.
