The best method to identify a classic “price action reversal” is for an hourly candle to close, such as a pin bar, a doji, an outside or even just an engulfing candle with a higher close. You can exploit these levels or zones by watching the price action that occurs at the given levels.
GBP/USD Analysis
The Pound received a blow from the British election result but has stabilised, consolidating under 1.2800. the short-term direction is very difficult to determine, but there are major support and resistance levels containing the price which could provoke a reaction when they are reached. Although the Bank of England voted more narrowly in favour of maintaining rates at the current levels, the market does not believe that a hike is going to happen any time soon. It seems as if the price will continue to consolidate today.
There is nothing due today concerning either the GBP or the USD.
