The best method to identify a classic “price action reversal” is for an hourly candle to close, such as a pin bar, a doji, an outside or even just an engulfing candle with a higher close. You can exploit these levels or zones by watching the price action that occurs at the given levels.
EUR/USD Analysis
I wrote yesterday that the direction has been very slightly upwards over the past 24 hours, but the move is very slight and shaky. The focus of the market is not on the Euro at all, and the nearest key levels are a long way away, which strongly suggests that there will be better opportunities today in other currency pairs. This turned out to be right and the picture is the same today, with the price not truly going anywhere and the only key levels still far away. There could be a strong movement today in the British Pound which might have a knock-on impact upon the Euro, but this pair is not interesting right now. There are likely to be better opportunities in other currency pairs today.
There is nothing due today concerning the EUR. Regarding the USD, there will be a release of Unemployment Claims data at 12:30pm London time.
